About This Tour

The Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Zodiac Boat Tour is the perfect addition to a day in the Vatnajökull National Park. On this tour, you will gently sail on this famous glacier lagoon. During the tour, you can get closer to the icebergs that float on the lagoon.

After meeting up with your captain at the Glacier Lagoon, you will suit up in warm overalls and appropriate safety gear. Your guide will give you a briefing on the upcoming adventure before you head out on the lagoon. As the zodiac boat sails amongst the icebergs, your guide will tell you about the secrets of the lagoon.

The Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Zodiac Boat Tour departs multiple times daily from 9:00 in the morning. In May, the last tour departs at 16:00, but in the high summer season, the last departure is at 17:00. You can easily combine this tour with another adventure, such as a glacier hike in Skaftafell.

Please note

This tour starts at our ticket sale by the lagoon, where you check in for the tour and get dressed up in flotation suits and life jackets. Then we will drive you in our bus where the boats are located ( about a 1.5 km drive )

It takes about 30 minutes to get dressed and ready for the tour, along with bus transportation.

The boat tour is 1 hour on the lagoon.

It takes about 15 minutes to get back to the ticket sale, undress from the suits, and finish the tour.
